IBERIA's Unbelievable Promotion To Get 90,000 Avios For 300 Pounds

Published

If you’ve previously took advantage of the bankruptcy of Air Berlin, you probably have status-matched yourself to have IBERIA ORO til 2019, then this so-called “promotion of the year” (as claimed by Ben Schlapigg from OneMileatatTime) is something you definitely should be a part of.

Website Promo Image IBERIA's Unbelievable Promotion To Get 90,000 Avios For 300 Pounds

Iberia is currently giving 9,000 Avios for each trip you book with them, so in reality, you can book 10 one-way segments with them to maximise this promotion getting 90,000 Avios. You would have to book all flights by 24 June (HURRY!) and use the bonus Avios by 1st December of 2018(this year).

So there’s a certain level of restriction here but if you plan carefully, this could one of the best deal we’ve seem in a long time.

Here’s the things to watch out for in order to get those Avios:

  • There’s no registration requirement as long as you include your Iberia Plus number in the booking.

  • You need to fly Iberia, Iberia Express, and Air Nostrum.

  • You need to book directly on IBERIA.com.

  • You may book one-way segment under each reservation, so ideally you may split one return journey into two single one-ways.

Regarding the Avios:

  • You can earn a maximum of 90,000 Avios during the promotion period

  • The Avios will be added to your account within 10 days of when you purchase your ticket (and not when you fly)

Terms & Conditions:

Special offer of an extra 9,000 Avios for each ticket purchased between 21 and 24 June 2018 (maximum of 90,000 promotional Avios per member) on iberia.com for a flight operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Air Nostrum. The Avios will be added within 10 days of the purchase to the Iberia Plus account of all customers identified as members of the Iberia Plus programme during the purchase process.

If the customer requests a refund, either because it is permitted by the fare or for any other reason, the promotional Avios will be withdrawn from their account. The extra promotional Avios not redeemed by 1 December 2018 will be withdrawn from the customer’s account. The redemption terms and conditions are subject to the general terms and conditions of the Iberia Plus programme.

For example, if a customer purchases tickets on Iberia.com for three people to fly from Seville to Madrid and two of the people are identified as Iberia Plus members during the purchase process, 9,000 Avios will be credited to both of these people within 10 days of the purchase. These two people must have redeemed at least 9,000 Avios by 1 December 2018, or this same amount of Avios will be withdrawn from their account.

Complements to the offer:

UK Topcashback:

You may access Iberia’s website through Topcashback UK’s portal and in addition to your normal earnings and the promotion above, you will get 3.67 pounds each booking you make.

Promo Codes:

Regarding some promo codes currently circulating around now, it will be interesting to see if Iberia will honour those bookings.

You may only choose one of the options I suggested above, as Topcashback don’t honour bookings with discounted codes. I would prefer the cash back option just to play it safe.

Routes:

You can easily find one way flight between city pairs like MAD – PMI for as low as 26 pounds as I see.

Flight Details Iberia IBERIA's Unbelievable Promotion To Get 90,000 Avios For 300 Pounds

Here you can search destinations on the route map I’ve included or you may play around with google flights to find suitable dates.

Europe Routes by Iberia 2017

You can book flights and don’t even fly them, or since there’s no restriction on the time you need to travel, thus you may book for some flights next year where could come in handy in the summer? The decision here is really up to you, as 90,000 Avios for around 300 pounds is an amazing deal already, but jetting around Spain (Europe) and chugging on free drinks to get even more Avios and elite points wouldn’t be that of a hassle either.

So hope everyone reading this can benefit from this generous promotion, don’t forget that Avios redeemed by 1st December can be flights even longer after the date.

I am happy to hear which route you guys are going to redeem 90,000 plus Avios on.

Peace.

Albert K. Field Albert is my name, and travel the world is my game. I began my passion for travel at a very young age, I started this website as a strong means to further explore the world of frequent flyers programs (FFP). The relationship between customers and service providers in the aviation and hospitality industry always seems to be in opposition, however, since the introduction of United Airlines’ Frequent Flyers Programm since 1972*. This has significantly eased the middle spectrum between 2 parties. While the aim of airlines is still to generate more revenue; but for us,as consumers, are also given the opportunity to participate in the bargaining and exploiting from service providers. Living in a world of globalization where big data becomes vital for simulating successful economical activities, most of us will have to travel to other locations whether willingly or unwillingly, while you hearing all this fascinating stories about others, In fact, you too, can blend into the trend. It may not sound like how media illustrates, but indeed there are possibilities for us to have more spontaneous travel without getting held back by financial situation. My website consists of reviews of airline premium cabin products, airport lounges and stay reports of 5-star hotels and their executive lounges across the globe. In addition to all of that, I care the most about their frequent flyers program and loyalty program, which also includes banking partners. Plus, I spontaneously put up reviews and news update regarding premium water brands and restaurants. The purpose of this website is to share all of this information with my audience as well as inviting you to be part of my journey.

SAS Presents New Livery After 21 Years

Published

on

For the first time in 21 years, SAS has launched a brand new visual identity and revealed a new design for its aircraft exterior. The new livery is a modern take on classic Scandinavian design, and to highlight the future of SAS, the new Airbus A350 and A320neo, the market’s most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, will be the first to feature the new design.

“The new livery design is a symbol of our future, a more sustainable and competitive future for SAS, but one that also embraces our heritage. Travelers from Scandinavia will recognize their home, while global travelers will encounter the renowned feeling of the Nordics,” says Rickard Gustafson, President and CEO at SAS.

“Crucial to the successful relationship with our travelers, is the thousands of SAS employees who provide passengers with top class travel experiences and service every day. They are the face of our brand and their commitment is key to a more sustainable and competitive future,” Rickard Gustafson says.

The new SAS livery features several updates, including:

The previous grey color used on the fuselage has been updated to a fresher shade of grey.
SAS New Silver Logo
A big proud and confident SAS logo has been placed at the front of the plane, in a silver grey tone.
Analysis and customer feedback showed that the unique SAS blue color is strongly recognized by the community of SAS travelers. The new SAS livery embraces this unique relation between SAS and true travelers by enhancing and extending the blue color of the tail further down the belly of the plane.
The earlier red engines have now been turned into silver grey and dressed with SAS blue crowns to harmonize with the SAS current visual identity, and to also embrace the connection to the SAS blue for SAS true travelers.
The word mark “Scandinavian” is still located on the engines, but it is now in dark grey, in order to provide sufficient contrast to the light grey and silver color of the fuselage and to flirt with the SAS interior design color scheme.
The word “Scandinavian” has also been largely and proudly placed under the plane on the belly as a symbol for SAS’s Scandinavian heritage and for clear visual identification from the ground.
The Scandinavian heritage is also shown in the three Scandinavian flags that have been updated in a modern, elegant way.

SAS Relocates Its Stockholm – Los Angeles Route To Copenhagen

Published

on

SAS A330-300

SAS is opening a year-round route to Los Angeles from Copenhagen. The first flight will be in January 2020. Big demand from leisure travelers in Denmark and a more attractive timetable with daily flights mean that the route will be part of the flight program from the new year.

SAS PRESS RELEASE

From 13 January 2020, SAS will be moving its route between Stockholm and Los Angeles to the Danish capital. This won’t be the first route SAS decided to relocate due to the previously introduced Swedish aviation tax(Lag (2017:1200) om skatt på flygresor) which carriers has to pay up to SEK400 (EUR39) on long haul routes departing from Swedish airports. The non-existent flight SK963 was flying between Stockholm – Hong Kong before was moved to Copenhagen under a better time slot in October 2018.

However, this won’t be the only reason for SAS to make the decision of moving its long haul operation from Stockholm, the “Greta Thunberg effect” has been impacting Swedish travel habits, new buzzwords in Swedish mainstream media like flygskam (flight shame) and tågskryt (train bragging) has made the global air travel industry worried.

SAS is also moving its Los Angeles route to Copenhagen at a strategic time as the other big carrier at CPH – Norwegian will suspend 3 long haul destinations in winter season 2019, routes being canceled are Copenhagen to Fort Lauderdale, New York JFK and Los Angeles. This was seem as a move that the low cost carrier is shifting from growth to profitability, something SAS is also keen on after the week-long strike earlier (from April 26 to May 2) in the summer season.

The ‘new’ route will have an improved timetable from six to seven departures a week from Copenhagen Airport(CPH) starting next March.

“By opening a year-round route to Los Angeles from Copenhagen we are increasing availability and enabling growth. The timetable is attractive, and thanks to the economies of scale we can achieve in fully utilizing our fleet, we are in a position to provide a daily service from Copenhagen Airport,” says Karl Sandlund EVP Commercial, SAS.

“Los Angeles is one of the most in-demand intercontinental routes from Copenhagen, and an important route for our leisure customers in particular, who are keen to visit the American West Coast. We continuously assess our offering in order to optimize our network for our travelers,” says Karl Sandlund.

Flights from Copenhagen to Los Angeles can be booked from 3 September 2019. The first flight departs 13 January 2020. Passengers with already purchased tickets from Stockholm to Los Angeles, will be rebooked via Copenhagen.

The new time schedule for the route starting January 13th:

Flight SK931 departs from CPH 09:35 and arrives in Los Angeles 12:15 the same day.
Flight SK932 departs from Los Angeles 14:00 and arrives in CPH 10:10 the day after.

There will be daily departures on the route SK931/932 between Copenhagen and Los Angeles starting on March 31st 2020, something suggests that their newly received A350s next year will come into play here.
