United Airlines Upgrades Hong Kong-New York Route Products And Services

United Airlines today announced an upgrade of its products and services to and from Hong Kong and New York/Newark. From April 1st, 2019, customers of the Boeing 777-300ER will experience the new United Premium Plus and United Polaris Business Class.

United Polaris Business Class Seating

The Hong Kong-New York/Newark direct flight will be operated by the new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with United Polaris business class seats. The United Polaris Business Class Seat is a groundbreaking design with over 12,000 hours of research designed to provide customers with a good night’s sleep at 35,000 feet. The specially-designed seats are 180-degree flat and have plenty of leg extensions and ample storage space for easy access to personal items and electric compartments in the middle of the cabin. In addition, the new United Premium Plus will be unveiled on the Boeing 777-300ER. Customers can also enjoy delicious meals and tasting a variety of alcoholic beverages using specially made tableware. United Airlines will also provide customers with personal items such as the famous boutique department store Saks Fifth Avenue blankets, plush pillows and noise-cancelling headphones, allowing customers to relax and enjoy the entertainment on the larger back screen. In order to allow customers to enjoy a prestigious travel experience before boarding, Premium Economy Class customers can check in standard baggage for free, enjoy United Club at discounted rates, and check in at Premier Access with priority boarding services.

United Airlines’ 777-300ER aircraft features 60 United Polaris business class seats, 24 United Economy Plus seats, 62 United Economy Plus and 204 United Economy seats .

As early as March 2017, United Airlines used Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to operate direct flights between Hong Kong and San Francisco.

Customers travelling to United Polaris Business Class to and from Hong Kong and the United States can enjoy the United Polaris Lounge at New York/Newark Liberty International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.

Discounts for customers who choose United Premium Plus

In order to celebrate the operation of the new Boeing 777-300ER to and from Hong Kong and New York, United Airlines is now offering discounts on airfare to and from the United States. From now until 31 March 2019, customers can go as low as HK$9,710* (without customs duties and surcharges). Purchases from Hong Kong to San Francisco from April 1, 2019 to July 4, 2019 , United States/Newark, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Boston’s United Premium Plus tickets.

Japan Airlines Reinstates Service To Guangzhou, China From October 2, 2020

Japan Airlines (JAL) yesterday revised its flight frequency plans for the month of October 2020. Starting October 2, JAL will reinstate service between Tokyo Narita and Guangzhou with a weekly frequency. 

According to Kyodo News, All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines announced on the 24th that they will resume some Chinese routes in the near future.

Currently, the two companies each have only one route to mainland China. Due to the adjustment of flight restrictions by the Chinese authorities, other routes will also be partially restored. This will be the first time scheduled flights to China have been resumed among the routes grounded after the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to the current “Narita-Shanghai” route, ANA will resume the “Narita-Qingdao” and “Narita-Guangzhou” routes from September 30.

Flights to Shanghai are round-trip once a week, and ANA is discussing increasing the number of flights in the future.

JAL currently flying the “Narita-Dalian” route will also add the “Narita-Guangzhou” route from October 2.

Reservations and sales for flights to Guangzhou will be available from September 24. (12:00 Japan Time) In addition, the carrier announced the decision to offer three flights per week between Tokyo Narita=Dalian throughout the month of October.

The JAL Group has continued to implement key measures against COVID-19 to provide our customers with a safe and secure travel experience and look forward to welcoming back customers as international flights gradually return to service.
